My (dearest) electronics have gender. They are all male. Each has a name. Names in use as of the moment include Bartholomew, Balthazar, Archibald, Diana, and Ashley (and yes, I am using the last two as boy names).
I finally got a camera. I’m very happy with it so far. It’s a Nikon D3000 if you wonder. Yes, I have become one of the many teenagers with a SLR camera. I’m trying to...

I keep thinking about the three weeks I spent in Austin, TX this summer. I wish I could go back and do it all over again. The dorming, the late nights, the events, and the interesting people - everything is so much better there then here.
Yet again, there is a few things where I live that I just could not give up.

I need to get that film developed. THIS WEEKEND. I will. I have to, I have to. Gah I’m so bad. I keep telling myself this every week. I really don’t want to work on my French project. It involves drawing pictures. As much as I love doodling, I just don’t like being required to draw.
I was cleaning up my computer’s desktop, and I stumbled across some old stories I had...

I’m ordering the following:
- Maya Deren’s Experimental Films
-Kenneth Anger’s Films
-Harry Smith’s (only on VHS) Early Abstractions.
I was really excited because I actually found out I could buy them online on Amazon (woo!) and that now I no longer have to watch via youtube. Above picture is from Kenneth Anger’s ‘Scorpio Rising’ - a considered...

I want to study so different things. Philosophy (which in itself has seemingly unlimited areas), film.. yesyes. If you are my friend you already know these things. But my latest interest ethnomusicology.I think a class in ethnomusicology would be the coolest.
Obsessions: femme fatales, ‘dragon blood’ incense, words such as adamant, red lips, high waists, the color black, Foucault...

I’m going to have to read up on Maya Deren’s films. I watched “Meshes of the Afternoon” this summer, and I was supremely amazed by the earlier filmiest use of shots and concepts. I highly recommend watching it if you ever want to see something that has never been thought of.
I didn’t drop off my film, I probably won’t get to until next weekend. I’m...

I sort of want this hat. A big, huge one. That would be wonderful.
Woahohoh.
“The madman jumped into their midst and pierced them with his eyes. “Whither is God?” he cried; “I will tell you. We have killed him—-you and I. All of us are his murderers. But how did we do this? How could we drink up the sea? Who gave us the sponge to wipe away the entire horizon? What were we doing when we unchained this earth from its sun? Whither is it moving...

Everything keeps rotating, and nothing seems to slow. I take that back. Everything slows after a while. Currently wishing that I had a huge sweatshirt with me at the moment. I think I may go and get that right now.
Today, I saw a girl crying, and she seemed so alone in the crowded hall. I felt like I should have said something, but..
I’ve now switched over to tumblr, and apparently I...
